Theoretical and Computational Chemistry City University of Hong Kong
Positions
Our group is looking for candidates who have strong interest in computational/theoretical research in chemistry.
1. Hong Kong PhD Fellowship / Hong Kong Postgraduate Studentship (for postgraduate students)
We have several potential PhD projects available regarding theoretical understanding of (but not limited to) (i) gas-phase isomerization and dissociation of peptide ions and their metal complexes, (ii) homogenous catalysis for organic syntheses, (iii) heterogeneous photo-/electro-chemical catalysis of 2D materials
For interested candidates, please contact Dr. Andy Siu through email (together with a copy of CV) for more details about the PhD projects.
2. Summer Research Scholarship (for undergraduate students)
Students will learn and conduct research by using computational packages to study gas phase reaction mechanisms of hydrated metal ion and radical peptide cation related chemical systems.
Students interested to learn about computational and theoretical research in chemistry may contact Dr. Andy Siu for further information and also the application procedure.
